How is one supposed to see and do everything in Volcano when those who have lived here haven’t even done yet?  A place where you have a limited amount of time to process all of the beauty and greatness this island has to offer you.  Simple, know what you want to do, whether it be hiking, sightseeing, or visiting the art galleries and different restaurants’ in the area. Volcano Celebrates the 4th of July

It’s that time of year again when the community and visitors of Volcano celebrates the 4th of July parade. Whether you’re a part of the parade or even a spectator, there’s no doubt in saying that this is one of Volcano’s shining moments. The parade starts right next to the Volcano Store at 9:00 am, goes through the village and ends at Cooper Center. There are a variety of participants in the parade including our amazingly talented Hawaii County Band, Volcanoes National Park volunteers and employees, KDEN (The Kilauea Drama Entertainment Network) members, and even the Humane Society.
